What to Look For In a Bed Dog?

by guestpost on April 7, 2010

A bed dog should be comfortable, washable and sturdy. Since an average dog needs about 14-16 hours of sleep, the bed should also be chew proof. Some of these beds are versatile and could be used even as a couch or a pet carrier. If the climate is very cold, a bed dog could also be equipped with a heater. Some beds also allow air flow under the sleeping dog. The dog’s breed and age are also to be considered while purchasing a bed. You need to scout for the right bed and even though this may take some time, it would well be worth it to see your dog sleep in peace.

by guestpost on February 15, 2010

Dog beds have a very practical purpose but with so many different styles of dog beds on the market, there is no reason to settle for something uninteresting.  Dog beds are available in a huge number of fabrics, colors, prints and shapes.  With so many styles to choose from, you can incorporate your dog bed into the rest of your interior design.  There are some truly chic dog beds that look great with other contemporary furniture.  These include models with frames that have a “real” bed our couch look.  If you want your dog’s bed to look as good as the rest of your furniture, this might be a good option for you.  Getting dog beds in an upholstery that is similar to the color of you dog can help reduce the amount of fur visible on your dog’s bed.  Another great option when it comes to dog beds is to get a very simple design.  There are some dog beds that are basically a large, comfortable cushion.  These styles in a neutral color will not detract from your other décor.  Again, getting something in a color that is similar to your dog’s fur will help camouflage fur.  Regular vacuuming will keep dog beds and your home looking their best.  These are just a few ways to make dog beds part of your home instead of an eyesore.

A Dog Bed Can Keep Your Home

by guestpost on June 15, 2009

Clean Dogs love to wander around a house and sleep wherever they feel like it. And where they sleep is where shed hair and dirt collects. A dog bed can solve this problem to a great degree. Dogs are den animals and giving them a place of their own, like a dog bed, is something they will appreciate. Getting your pet used to sleeping only on a dog bet will require some patience and training, but once it is used to it, both you and the dog will be happier. A dog bed made of a light washable fabric means that the bed can be easily placed in whichever room the family (including the dog) is in and will prevent it from sleeping on carpets or furniture.
